Off-Broadway: Seven folks, a local watering hole. Ordinary lives turned extraordinary through shared yarns, years, losses, and last calls. Join a teenage girl’s state-of-the-union road trip as she drives to her mom’s final immigration hearing. Book and lyrics by Quiara Alegría Hudes, music and lyrics by Erin McKeown, and directed by Lear Debessonet. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports. 

In Cleveland: What’s an orchestral play? The Good Peaches is. Using three actors, a world-class orchestra, and the music of John Adams and Benjamin Britten, this Hudes work dives us into the underwater orchard that becomes a stranded girl’s unexpected salvation. Three nights only, April 14-16, in a joint production by Cleveland Playhouse and The Cleveland Orchestra.
